Recent Staff Changes

Posted by Rick Irish, Executive Director
During this time of transition, Calvin Crest is saying hello and goodbye to many friends.

We have been given a new Registrar, Lee Sonderland is her name! She is a long-standing resident of Oakhurst, loves Jesus Christ, has raised three children, and comes with strong recommendations both for her skills with people and her administrative abilities. She began July 21st, providing opportunity to receive training during the summer season. Welcome to Lee!

Michelle Sanders, who served as Guest Group Host and in Resource Development, left the staff July 24th for Portland, Oregon. We are very grateful for the care and creativity Michelle brought to us these past months and will miss her greatly.

Sherry Watts has agreed to serve for the remainder of this interim as Administrative Coordinator. She will continue to work with bookkeeping, with the help of an assistant, and as Office Manager. This arrangement will enable a new Executive Director to find his/her own Administrator with minimal disruption.

Ruben Quintana has agreed to step aside from the Outdoor Education Assistant Director position in order to work in the office one half time as Sherry’s assistant and one half time with computers and audio-visual, etc.

We are grateful for God’s gracious provision of people who have the heart and gifts to fulfill his calling here! Please continue to pray for this great staff.

High School Camp Theme Nights

Theme Nights for High School Camp are in! Scour the thrift stores, and raid your parents' closets!

Here they are:
  • In The Year 3000: It's like "In The Year 2000," but 1000 years later!

  • 5th Grade Favorites: What were some of your favorite things? Think TV shows, music, games, etc.

  • 1940s Jazz Banquet: Self-explanatory, I think. Jazz. Banquet. 1940s. Yeah.
